Cierra Putman

Cierra Putman flew south to join Eyewitness News in July 2016. She’s excited to get to know Central Florida and learn what viewers care about.

Before joining the team, Cierra worked at WJAR in Providence, Rhode Island, where she covered local news and stories that resonated nationally, everything from holding the state accountable for tax refund check delays, to the Boston Marathon bombing and the murder investigation of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

Before Rhode Island, Cierra worked at KWES in West Texas and WROC in Rochester, New York. In New York, she joined community members to show how residents were fighting neighborhood violence. She also covered the many troubles facing the Rochester City School District.

When not at work, this animal lover is usually spending time with her adorable kitten Miles or exploring the Orlando area. She’s always looking for a good book, a movie or a new city, or country to visit.

Of course, this Mizzou grad is always looking for stories. Feel free to email her at Cierra.Putman@wftv.com if you have an idea.
