OCOEE, Fla. — A stadium was placed on lockdown Friday night after shots were fired during a parking lot altercation following a high school football game. One juvenile sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to a local hospital.

The confrontation involved several juveniles outside the venue following the game. School district officials confirmed that the injured youth is not affiliated with either high school participating in the athletic event.

OCPS issued a statement outlining the emergency response to the incident. “The district is grateful for the swift response from law enforcement and event personnel, whose actions helped ensure the safety of everyone in attendance,” Ollendorff said.

Emergency responders transported the injured youth to a local hospital shortly after officers arrived at the scene. District officials confirmed the victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening.

Law enforcement authorities are conducting an active investigation into the shooting. District representatives noted that police will share additional information regarding the case as appropriate.
