ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The state is asking a judge to reconsider the decision to release former Palm Beach County Clerk of Court Michael Caruso on bond, according to Orange County court documents.

Caruso posted a $160,000 bond Friday night as he faces kidnapping and child sexual abuse charges. Channel 9 was there when he was released.

Prosecutors argue that the judge applied an overly high legal standard and are asking that Caruso be held without bond. Caruso has denied the allegations and is presumed innocent.
