Westbound I-4 Express lanes will close overnight on Sept. 14 and Sept. 15

All westbound I-4 Express lanes from John Young Parkway to Kirkman Road will close on September 14 and 15

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation will close all westbound I-4 Express lanes from John Young Parkway to just west of Kirkman Road overnight on Monday, Sept. 14 and Tuesday, Sept. 15.

The overnight closures are scheduled to begin as early as 11 p.m. each night and end by 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

During the complete express lane closures, westbound I-4 Express drivers will be directed to exit into the westbound I-4 general-use lanes near John Young Parkway via local exits 78 through 74AB.

While the full closures are in effect, access to and from the westbound I-4 Express direct connect ramps at Florida’s Turnpike and Grand National Drive will be restricted.

After the initial night of work, crews will permanently close the right lane on westbound I-4 Express just east of the Kirkman Road overpass.

This single-lane closure will remain in place until the overhead sign construction is completed.
