WINTER PARK, Fla. — A woman accused of stabbing her husband to death at their Winter Park home last year declined a plea deal Wednesday morning.

The state had offered Danielle Redlick 126 months of jail time in exchange for entering a guilty plea to manslaughter charges.
In January 2019, Winter Park police arrived at Danielle Redlick’s home to find her 65-year-old husband, Michael Redlick, dead.

Investigators said Michael Redlick died the night before during an argument.
Danielle Redlick waited about 11 hours before she called 911.
During the call, Danielle Redlick told a dispatcher her husband may have died from a heart attack. She also said he stabbed himself.

Since Danielle Redlick denied a plea deal, there will be several hearings and then a trial. The trial could start as soon as the second week of May.
The couple’s children could be asked to testify.
