ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida's newest attraction, the Orlando Eye on International Drive, is closed Thursday due to a technical issue, officials said.
It's the second time in less than a week the Eye has been shut down.

A spokesperson told Channel 9 the decision was made to shut the giant wheel down because the operating systems indicated there was an irregularity.
The spokesperson wouldn’t elaborate on what that irregularity was, but said the decision to temporarily shut the attraction down was made as a precaution to investigate.
Engineers are working to restore the wheel to full operation as soon as possible.
