Orlando gas prices dip, but drivers still paying more than last week

Orlando-area drivers are getting a small break at the pump, but filling up still costs more than it did a week ago

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando-area drivers are getting a small break at the pump, but filling up still costs more than it did a week ago.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the Orlando area was $4.10 on Monday, Oct. 26, down about 2 cents from the day before, according to AAA. Despite that dip, prices remained nearly 6 cents higher than a week earlier.

The longer-term picture offers some relief: Orlando’s average was down nearly 32 cents from a month ago, when drivers were paying about $4.42 a gallon. That difference adds up to roughly $4.76 in savings on a 15-gallon fill-up.

Across Florida, regular gas averaged $4.09 a gallon Monday — about a penny less than Orlando’s average and roughly 19 cents below the national average of $4.29, according to AAA.

AAA’s Orlando-area averages for regular gas show:

  • Monday: $4.10 per gallon.
  • Previous day: $4.12.
  • One week earlier: $4.05.
  • One month earlier: $4.42.
