Senator Bill Nelson, D-Fla., was also on hand for the parade.

He filed a bill Friday that he says would make sure disabled veterans have access to the health care they need.

“Veterans, often if they’re not retired military, get their healthcare through Tricare, the retired military health care. They get it through Medicare but that’s often more expensive,” said Nelson.

U.S. Rep. Val Demings, D-Fla., Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orlando Police Chief John Mina were also in the parade.
