Orlando man accused of possible road rage shooting in DeLand, police say

DELAND, Fla. — Police in DeLand said an Orlando man is facing charges after a possible road rage shooting.

Officers said 22-year-old Daniel Duarte is facing several charges after shooting at people over the weekend.

The shooting happened early Sunday morning on North Woodland Boulevard and New York Avenue.

The victims told police they honked at another driver going slowly in front of them when the driver got out of the car and opened fire on them.

Investigators said one bullet pierced one victim’s hoodie and narrowly missed his head.

Officials said no one was hurt in the shooting.
