Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer wins re-election

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer has won re-election to a fourth term, easily defeating his two challengers Tuesday night.
 
Dyer took nearly 63 percent of the vote, with Paul Paulson finishing second with 33 percent and Sunshine Grund taking 4 percent.
 
In Orlando's city council races Patty Sheehan easily retained her District 4 seat by taking 69 percent of the vote.

District 6 commissioner Samuel Ings, who faced four challengers, won re-election by taking 52 percent of the vote.
 
In Lake County, voters overwhelming said yes to the one-cent sales tax, while Nick Girone unseated Cathy Hoechst in the mayor's race.
