OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Osceola County is investing $5 million to help improve arts and cultural facilities across the county.
The Osceola County Board of County Commissioners selected United Arts of Central Florida to administer and distribute the funding over two years through the new Osceola County Cultural Facilities Grant Program.
The program is funded through Tourist Development Tax revenue and will support capital projects at eligible arts and cultural facilities.
Organizations can request funding for projects including facility expansions and renovations, HVAC and other building systems, accessibility improvements, repairs, permanent equipment and other infrastructure needs.
Eligible facilities include publicly owned or nonprofit-operated museums, auditoriums, performing arts venues, historic cultural facilities and other qualifying cultural or natural attractions. Projects must be located in Osceola County and open to the public.
Applications opened Sept. 1 and will remain open through Oct. 16 at 11:59 p.m.
Applicants must be nonprofit organizations in good standing and must have operated in Osceola County for at least two years.
United Arts plans to hold an applicant information session Sept. 8. Funding decisions and award announcements are expected in January 2027.
