OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A judge is deliberating whether an Osceola County man accused of killing his daughter-in-law will receive reduced bail.

Angel Rivera has not yet been charged with Osceola County mom Nicole Montalvo’s death, but he is being held on $350,000 bail on charges related to the case, including abuse of a human body and not reporting a death.

Rivera’s lawyer is asking the judge to reduce his bail to a reasonable amount.

The 5th Court of Appeals is deciding if Rivera should be allowed a lower bail that would allow him to get out of jail sooner.

Murder charges in Montalvo’s death have still not been filed against Rivera or his son, Christopher Otero-Rivera, the two prime suspects identified by deputies in the case.
