Wild Florida’s family of albino alligators is growing.
The Kenansville attraction has successfully hatched albino alligators for the second time. Two more albino hatchlings were welcomed to the “Croc Squad” this week, Wild Florida announced.
Since Snowflake, a 27-year-old female, and Blizzard, a 16-year-old male, are both full albino alligators, these latest hatchlings are the second set of albino alligators born at an attraction in the world, according to Wild Florida.

Earlier this summer, 18 albino alligator eggs were collected from adult albino alligators Snowflake and Blizzard at Wild Florida, the only attraction in the world with a successful albino alligator breeding program.
“We’re so proud of our albino alligator parents, Snowflake and Blizzard, and our Croc Squad team for helping these hatchlings,” Wild Florida co-owner and co-founder Sam Haught said in a news release. “With our Croc Squad overseeing these eggs, we’re hoping that these alligators will help engage more visitors, locals and tourist alike, with their environment.”

The hatchlings are expected to be put on exhibit at a later date. The average incubation period for alligator eggs is 60 days depending on the nest’s temperature, Wild Florida said.
Almost exactly a year ago, Wild Florida welcomed four albino alligators to the family.
