Worker rescued after being entrapped in industrial machinery

The specialized extrication operation required more than one hour to free the worker from the equipment

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A worker was rescued on Sept. 2 after becoming heavily entrapped in industrial machinery, according to Osceola County Professional Firefighters.

The extrication operation lasted more than an hour before the worker was safely freed and transported to a local hospital.

When the first crews arrived, they reached out to the department’s Special Operations Team to help with the tricky details of the incident. The rescue teams worked closely with the facility’s engineering staff to carefully carry out the extrication.

Throughout the rescue operation, patient care was thoughtfully maintained, thanks to the dedicated support from Orange County Professional Firefighters and the Air Care Team.

After the machinery was removed, the worker was gently transported under Trauma Alert status to a nearby hospital where they could receive the necessary medical care.
