Pair suspected in several Florida bank robberies arrested

TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa couple suspected of robbing several banks, including one in Orange County, have been arrested.

Federal investigators said Immanuel Lee Williams, 28, and Cara Lee Williams, 28, conspired to rob 13 banks in Florida and two banks in Alabama.

Investigators said the two are alleged to have worn disguises and used notes demanding money from the banks.

Orange County sheriff's investigators believe the two may have robbed a Chase Bank on South Orange Blossom Trail in January.

Investigators said each of the two faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison if convicted.
