BUNNELL, Fla. — A 16-year-old Palm Coast teen has been sentenced to two years in state prison after pleading no contest to charges stemming from a violent robbery last year.
Dakoda Nodelman pleaded no contest Sept. 8 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a juvenile delinquent and attempted robbery with a firearm, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Circuit Judge Dawn Nichols found Nodelman guilty on each count and sentenced him to two years in state prison followed by four years of probation.
Investigators say victim was pistol-whipped
The case dates back to Nov. 16, 2025, when deputies responded to a home on Pitt Lane after a caller reported several people had entered the residence and attacked someone inside.
Investigators said a victim told detectives he and a friend had gone to the home to “pick up a package” when two masked men followed him inside.
According to FCSO, Nodelman repeatedly struck the victim in the head with a firearm before chasing him outside. A second victim told detectives that a man then pointed a gun at him while he was sitting inside a vehicle.
Detectives said Nodelman took the first victim’s shoes, cellphone and car keys. During a later search of the home, deputies said they found the car keys hidden in a dirty cat litter box and the shoes underneath a bed.
Nodelman told detectives the firearm discharged unintentionally after he fell in the grass following the confrontation and that he later disposed of the gun, according to the sheriff’s office.
He was originally arrested on charges including robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
2 other defendants charged
Nodelman’s sister, Kyrahlynn Nodelman, was also arrested in connection with the case and charged with principal to robbery. The sheriff’s office said the charge is a first-degree felony that can carry a sentence of up to 30 years in prison.
Court proceedings are still pending for a third defendant, 19-year-old Eva Nguyen of Palm Coast, who was charged with principal to robbery with a firearm.
Dakoda Nodelman remains at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility while awaiting transfer to the Florida Department of Corrections.
