ORLANDO, Fla. — Veterans, transitioning service members and their spouses can connect with more than 20 employers during CareerSource Central Florida’s annual Paychecks for Patriots job fair Tuesday, Nov. 10.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Orange Technical College’s South Campus, 2900 W. Oak Ridge Road, Building 1600, in Orlando.
Although organized in honor of veterans, the fair is open to all job seekers, according to CareerSource Central Florida. Find event information on the organization’s website.
Which employers will attend
Participating employers are expected to include:
- The Walt Disney Company.
- Rosen Hotels & Resorts.
- JPMorgan Chase.
- City of Orlando.
- Lynx.
- Massey Services.
- Trustco Bank.
- Valencia College.
- Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Organizers say employers will offer opportunities across a variety of industries and positions.
What job seekers should bring
Attendees should bring multiple copies of their resume and be prepared to network and interview with employers.
CareerSource Central Florida is inviting veterans from Lake, Osceola, Orange, Seminole and Sumter counties, including those transitioning from military service to civilian employment.
The event will also connect participants with community resources. Organizers say the goal is to help veterans translate their military skills, experience and leadership into civilian careers.
