COCOA BEACH, Fla. — A pedestrian was killed Friday morning in a crash on Highway A1A north of Cocoa Isles Boulevard, officials said.
The victim, who was not identified, was trying to cross the street in the 900 block of North Atlantic Avenue at about 6:20 a.m. when he was hit by a blue 2002 Volvo driven by David Spivey, 68, of Port St. Lucie, police said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cocoa Beach Police Department did not release any details on the events leading up to the crash.
