OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Some Poinciana residents spent Easter Sunday cleaning up damage from Saturday’s strong storms.
Residents who live along Cypress Parkway woke up to branches strewn across yards and toppled trees.

“It’s very frustrating,” homeowner Irwin Inwood said. “It’s Easter, right? I’m supposed to spend time with family. [Instead, I’m] spending it with a tree.”
Gusty winds toppled the entry signage of one subdivision and hail pummeled homes.
“The ice, the hail was at least an inch big, and they were hitting the windows so hard,” Inwood said. “I told my wife get away from the windows because it just didn’t stop.”
Winds ripped off the roof of a nearby car wash and tossed it onto several vehicles in a parking lot.
A woman seated in a minivan damaged by the roof wasn’t injured.
