ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orlando police are investigating allegations of nude photos of students circulating at Lake Nona High School.
According to the police report, a mother called the school's resource officer to alert him about photos of her daughter.
A student who spoke with Channel 9 said someone posted the photos on Twitter for the world to see.
"I heard that there was some naked pictures released on Twitter without the authorization of the individuals in the pictures, but the account has been taken down," said senior Thorunn Jonsdottir. "Students are very unhappy about it. They think it's disgusting that someone would do that to a person."
Other students told Channel 9 that some people saved the photos from the Twitter page and started passing them around to others.
Orlando police said they are investigating. Orange County Public Schools said they're cooperating with officers.

"So many kids are getting in trouble today for doing very stupid things on social media, and this is an example of that," said school board chairman Bill Sublette.
Sublette said it's unclear if the alleged photos were taken on school property or somewhere else.
"If they do it while on school grounds or it disrupts the learning environment, that child will be expelled," said Sublette.
But Sublette said the district has little control over what happens outside of school, let alone on social media. He said he'd like to create a public service campaign to warn high school students about the consequences of inappropriate photos and social media.
