WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death at a Winter Garden apartment complex, according to police.

Officers responded to the Winter Garden Village apartments on West Cypress Street and Park Avenue about 3 a.m. Saturday.

They said someone called 911 to complain about a fight between three men near the mailbox area of the complex.

Officers said when they arrived, Walter Martinez, 19, was bleeding severely from multiple stab wounds.

Martinez was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Police said they found the suspect beat up with blood covering his head and face.

The suspect was taken to Health Central for treatment.

The apartment and a house nearby were blocked off with crime scene tape.

Police did not say how the home was connected to the stabbing.
