Police: Ocala man arrested after taking pictures of teenager in bathroom stall

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A Marion County man is facing charges after police said he tried to photograph a teenage boy in a bathroom stall.

Police said the teenager saw a flash while he was in a stall of a Target bathroom on Southwest College Road.

On the second flash, the 13-year-old discovered he was being photographed in the stall.

Thomas Durden, 50, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with voyeurism.

Police were able to track down Durden because of the information that the victim provided.

“He got the guy away from him as quickly as he could,” said Sgt. Angy Scroble. “He immediately reported it to an adult that was present with him.”

Officials used this information to track Durden on Target surveillance cameras and used the Florida Driver’s License Database to track down his car.

Ocala police said that this is not Durden’s first offense.

He was confronted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies outside of a Walmart last April where he was also accused of video voyeurism.
