President Trump rallies supporters in The Villages 11 days before Election Day

THE VILLAGES, Fla. — President Donald Trump hosted a campaign rally in Central Florida Friday afternoon.

The president hosted a Make America Great Again Victory rally at The Villages Polo Club, 703 N. Buena Vista Blvd., at 4:30 p.m.

The rally was the second time in a week the president visited Central Florida, following his stop in Ocala. The president also hosted a rally in Sanford on Oct. 12.

Before the rally, hundreds of people lined up to secure their spots at the event.

“I’m so excited," resident Loree Norberg said. "I’m very excited to be out here.”

A political expert told Eyewitness News that he believes Trump is coming because support from seniors has slipped, and because the president wants to make sure supporters remain excited.

Thursday night, President Donald Trump and Democratic challenger former Vice President Joe Biden squared off in their final debate. They discussed the coronavirus pandemic, the economy, immigration and more.
