Serves about 6
INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 chopped green pepper
- 1/2 chopped onion
- Small jar pimentos
- 2 cups diced turkey
- Six slices of toast or Hungry Jack biscuits
INSTRUCTIONS
- Melt butter in saucepan and gradually add flour, stirring well. Slowly add milk and egg yolk. Stir until thick. In a separate pan, sauté green pepper and onion.
- Add turkey to milk and flour mixture. Let simmer about ten minutes. Add green peppers, onion, pimento, salt and pepper.
- Serve over a slice of toast or a biscuit.
