ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Red light cameras in Orange County resulted in more than 64,000 tickets during a one-year period, according to the program’s annual report.
The data in the report was collected from July of last year to July of this year.
Ticket payments have generated a total of $8 million in revenue.
However, only half of the issued tickets have been paid.
In addition to ticket numbers and revenue, the annual report evaluated long-term safety trends at monitored locations.
Traffic crashes at intersections equipped with red light cameras have decreased by 52% since 2013.
