ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson is in court to battle Lolita Grayson over thousands of dollars in legal fees.

Lolita Grayson still uses his surname despite a court ruling saying that she was never legally married to Alan Grayson because she was married to someone else.

Lolita Grayson could never prove otherwise, yet still appealed the court's decision. Alan Grayson wants her to pay his nearly $10,000 in legal fees.

Ken Morse, Alan Grayson's lawyer, said she hasn't returned Grayson's collection of African masks even though she was ordered to do so by a judge six months ago.

Morse said he wants sanctions against Lolita Grayson because she's been withholding original documents from Alan Grayson's trust, partnerships and retirement accounts since he left their Windermere home two years ago.

"It's Mr. Grayson's view that she's been obstructive on virtually every issue. It's our hope that with her new counsel that we will reach some accommodation and some level of cooperation," Morse said.

Lolita Grayson is on her fifth lawyer.

The Graysons had a tentative financial agreement almost a year ago, but she refused to sign it.
