TAMPA, Fla. — The McDonald's manager who tipped off Tampa police to a suspect in the Seminole Heights serial killer case will get her reward money.
Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said during a news conference Friday that Delonda Walker will receive $110,000 after her tip led to the capture of Howell Donaldson III, 24, on Tuesday.
"We would not be here today with this killer in custody were it not for the courage of one individual,” Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn said.

Walker saw Donaldson put a gun in a bag and hand it to another employee at the McDonald’s in Ybor City, investigators said. Walker then told an officer who was doing paperwork in the McDonald’s.
Donaldson told the coworker he intended to leave the state and left the restaurant, but he returned and was detained by the police officer, police said.
Police said the gun was the same one used in four random killings of people walking in the Seminole Heights community.

The killings began in October, and 51 days later, Donaldson was arrested.
“Let me be clear, she will receive all $110,000. That was the reward that will be put up. She will receive every penny of that,” Dugan said.
Law enforcement agencies, local businesses and private citizens put up the reward money.

Even though Walker wants privacy, the mayor read a statement from her saying she didn't even think of the reward and thanked the community.
"Please know I appreciate all the well wishes and the kind words of our community,” Buckhorn said on Walker’s behalf.

Tampa officials said since the reward money is coming from several different sources, she may not see all of the money at once.
Donaldson is being held without bail.
Donaldson admitted to owning the gun, but he hasn't admitted to the shootings, detectives said.
A motive about the killings remains unclear.
