Robber shot in South Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — A man is in the hospital with a gunshot wound after robbing someone at a shopping plaza in south Orlando Sunday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The 18-year-old was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with injuries that are not life-threatening. He will be charged with robbery with a firearm and aggravated assault with a firearm.

The incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. at a shopping plaza on Americana Boulevard near Texas Avenue.

Another suspect involved in the robbery is still at large, deputies said.
