Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will host a holiday overlay

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — The Electric Mayhem is set to bring festive rock-and-roll energy to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this holiday season.

From Nov. 4 to Jan. 6, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will become the “Obligatory Holiday Overlay” a limited-time transformation featuring seasonal music, festive decorations, and all-new Muppet antics.

The festivities start outside the attraction with holiday music surrounding the iconic guitar marquee. Inside G-Force Records, guests will encounter Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Lips as they rehearse for a holiday concert, though, true to Muppet style, mishaps are guaranteed.

The overlay introduces the first-ever Audio-Animatronic Scooter, brought to life with motion-capture technology. Joined by a crew of penguin audio engineers, Scooter scrambles to get The Electric Mayhem to their concert on time.

One of the standout changes is a new holiday soundtrack, featuring four songs: “Holiday Road” with Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” featuring Jennifer Hudson, “Silver Bells” with Cyndi Lauper, and “Little Saint Nick” performed by The Electric Mayhem.

This special holiday overlay will be available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios through Jan. 6.
