SANFORD, Fla. — A Sanford family is asking the community to support 20-month-old Kiran as he competes for the 2026 Baby of the Year title and a $25,000 prize.
According to his family, Kiran was born prematurely at 33 weeks and weighed 4 pounds. He spent three weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit before going home.
His family said Kiran later contracted COVID-19 and spent about a month in an intensive care unit. They described him as the smallest patient in the unit at the time.
Now, Kiran’s family says he is a healthy, friendly toddler with a big personality and a love for performing in front of the camera.
