SeaWorld working to get trainers back in water with whales

ORLANDO, Fla. — SeaWorld is working to get trainers back in the water with killer whales.

The theme park is appealing a federal ruling that says trainers  can't have unprotected contact with killer whales while performing.

The ruling is a result of the death of trainer Dawn Brancheau, who was killed while working with Tilikum in Feb. 2010.

SeaWorld argues that show performances are no different than breeding and caring for animals, which require close contact.
