Semi rollover crash shuts down part of I-75 in Marion County

Drivers warned to avoid I-75 after semi-truck overturns in construction zone.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A semi-truck overturned on southbound Interstate 75 at mile marker 356, blocking all southbound lanes, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 8:16 a.m. within a construction zone.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area if possible.

Heavy traffic is expected in the area as first responders work at the scene.

Rain is also creating additional challenging driving conditions.

The advisory did not provide information about injuries or how long the southbound lanes are expected to remain blocked.

Drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
