Here’s how you can apply for Seminole County’s emergency rental assistance program

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Seminole County on Monday opened early registration for its emergency rental assistance program.

Residents can apply for rental assistance if they have difficulty making timely payments of rent and utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The county received $14.2 million from the U.S. Department of Treasury to provide rental assistance to eligible households negatively impacted due to COVID-19.

If approved, residents can receive financial assistance of up to 12 months of unpaid past due rent and utilities.

The portal will officially open on March 1.
