Local Regeneron clinic sees spike in patients as COVID-19 cases climb

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — On April 19, Seminole County in partnership with True Health opened a Regeneron therapy clinic capable of completing 12 monoclonal infusion therapy sessions a day.

From April to June 19 patients were treated. In July, COVID-19 cases spiked and 40 infusions were made.

As of Friday morning, 98 infusions have been performed so far in August, and that number continues to climb.

Out of the roughly 157 patients treated at the clinic, doctors said about 75% start to feel better within 24 to 48 hours. Patients as young as 12 up to age 82 have been treated. Three were between the ages of 12 to 16.
