Operation Green Light: Seminole County waiving collection fees to help reinstate driver’s licenses

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Need help getting your Seminole County driver’s license reinstated? Officials are providing ways to give drivers the green light.

During Operation Green Light, which runs Monday through Friday, the Seminole County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is authorized to waive collection agency fees, some as high as 25%, for anyone who pays off their court obligations in full or signs up for a monthly plan.

Officials said those who pay off their debts or go on a payment plan will also be able to reinstate their suspended driver’s licenses in most cases.

Clerk Grant Maloy said since 2019, the county has helped 1,169 people become eligible to reinstate their driver’s licenses through the program.
