Students learn about aviation at Orlando Sanford International Airport

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orlando Sanford International Airport helped inspire the local community on Saturday.

Seminole County students and families attended Aerospace and Aviation Day at the airport and learned about careers in mechanics and avionics.

The event displayed more than 25 aircraft.

Children went inside cockpits, met pilots and took part in flight simulators at the hangar.

Students also signed up for a flight above the airport.
