ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida residents have only a few weeks left to explore the universe through a virtual reality experience at The Florida Mall.
Smithsonian Starstruck: An Immersive Experience takes guests on a 3D journey beginning at an Earth-based observatory before traveling aboard some of the world’s most powerful space telescopes.
The experience uses astronomical data and imagery to let visitors explore stars, exoplanets, galaxies and black holes. Guests can also witness solar flares, watch a supernova and visit the edge of a supermassive black hole.
The full experience lasts approximately one hour, including a 40-minute virtual reality adventure. Groups of up to six people can participate together.
Starstruck is designed for guests ages 10 and older. Children between 10 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
The attraction is located inside the Fever Hub at The Florida Mall, 8001 S. Orange Blossom Trail, near the mall’s Macy’s entrance.
Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased through the experience’s official website. Organizers have not announced an exact closing date.
