CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — When NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley became the first crew to launch from U.S. soil in nearly a decade, they joined a special group in history.
The suits worn by the two astronauts made history too.

Now guests will be able to get a glimpse of the high-tech spacesuits as part of a special, limited-time exhibit at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
The suits, designed by Hollywood costume designer Jose Fernandez, are among the most advanced in the space program.
The one-piece suits, featuring 3D printed helmets with touch-screen sensitive gloves, are considerably less bulky than the “pumpkin suits” worn by shuttle astronauts.
The suits, along with other iconic spacesuits from previous space programs, will highlight the evolution of the spacesuit on display throughout the visitor complex.
