None — We completely disagree with the Better Business Bureau’s evaluation of the firm. They have based their rating on complaints of less than 1% of our more than 25,000 clients in the last three years.
In regards to the actual client complaints that were cited in the Orlando Sentinel, as attorneys we have a duty to keep communications between ourselves and our clients privileged. In these instances, both clients came to us in active litigation and KEL aggressively litigated on their behalf. We are proud of the work that we accomplished on behalf of both of our former clients and we ardently disagree with their claims. We understand that they like many others have suffered because of the economy.
Our work was never properly evaluated or considered by the BBB’s rating system, as their system fails to account for successes that we have achieved for struggling homeowners throughout the nation. In the last seven months alone we have received 1339 offers of modification for clients. Between July and November of 2011, our debtor workout department has saved our clients more millions in re-negotiated debt.
The BBB claims to be “unbiased” and “objective” in their ratings process, however, they base ratings solely from their opinions and experiences. The BBB is a private company that franchises its operations and fails to provide solid evidence that they are the experts on good business practices. A simple Google search will return the many instances where the BBB has provided an excellent rating to a less than reputable member. The BBB themselves has acknowledged the failures of their rating system.
KEL is among many others that have been harmed by the BBB’s failed ratings system and we will not be victimized anymore. Unfortunately, because of their prominence many small businesses are manipulated by the BBB to preserve a rating that is essentially meaningless. We stand behind the level of service we provide to all of our clients and we are grateful for the thousands of clients who continue to choose KEL as their legal representation.
