ORLANDO, Fla. — Another hot and humid day is in store for Central Florida on Wednesday, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the low to mid 90s.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop through Wednesday afternoon and evening, with a 50% chance of rain.
Storms could bring several hazards, including frequent lightning, gusty winds and pockets of heavy rain.
The strongest storms may produce wind gusts between 45 and 55 mph.

Heavy downpours also could lead to ponding on roads and localized flooding, especially in areas that see repeated or slow-moving storms.
The unsettled pattern is expected to continue through the rest of the work week, keeping daily rain and storm chances in the forecast.
By the weekend, storms could become more focused over the interior portions of Central Florida.
Residents and visitors should stay weather-aware during the afternoon and evening, especially when thunderstorms move into their area.
