ORLANDO, Fla. — Strong winds will remain the main weather concern across Central Florida on Monday, while rain chances gradually decrease and temperatures stay near 80 degrees throughout the week.
A few rounds of light rain are possible this morning and this afternoon, but widespread heavy rainfall is becoming less likely across the region.
Rain chances will be around 20% to 30% on Monday before dropping to 10% to 20% for the remainder of the week.
Wind will be the bigger concern, especially near the coast.
Inland areas, including Orlando, can expect sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph, with gusts reaching around 35 mph.
Coastal communities could see stronger gusts once again on Monday, potentially reaching 45 to 50 mph.
Similar gusts were reported along the coast on Sunday, and the stronger winds could create hazardous conditions for those spending time outdoors or traveling in exposed areas.
The good news is that winds are expected to begin easing overnight tonight, bringing some relief after another breezy day.
Despite the unsettled conditions, temperatures will remain fairly consistent.
Afternoon highs are forecast to hover around 80 degrees each day over the next seven days.
