Sunset Songs Series kicks off third season at Citizens’ Circle

OCALA, Fla. — The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department has announced the return of the Sunset Songs Series for its third season, starting Oct. 9 at Citizens’ Circle.

The outdoor concerts are free to attend and will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on the second Friday of each month from October through March.

Held at 151 SE Osceola Ave. in Ocala, the monthly series showcases local and regional artists performing original music.

The musical lineup across the season includes genres such as reggae, blues, rock and electronic music. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets to the park.

The Atlantic City-rooted reggae band SensaMotion will launch the series on Oct. 9. Formed nearly 16 years ago by a group of friends, the band released its album “Life In True Color” in 2023.

SensaMotion expanded its presence in 2025 with two singles featuring collaborations with Stick Figure and The Hip Abduction, followed by its second album, “Feel It All Around.”

In addition to live music, attendees will have access to on-site food trucks. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase through the Ocala Outreach Program.

The series will begin Oct. 9 and run on the second Friday of each month through March.
