Store surveillance footage shows a gunman waiting for the victim, a Loomis truck driver and money courier, to walk out of the store on State Road 436 and Palm Springs Drive before shooting him in the face and the back of the head.

Marcos Rivera Sr., the victim's father, spoke only to Channel 9's Tim Barber about the arrest. He said his son is starting to walk around but has a long road to recovery.

“Until he is out of the hospital and walking and talking and being together with the family, you know, nothing is certain,” he said.

He said his son has been a Loomis driver for eight years, and he took the job for steady work to support his wife and 2-year-old son.

Detectives said a gold Nissan getaway car was ditched in a nearby condominium complex. Police said they continue to search for the getaway driver.

Willis was jailed on attempted murder and robbery charges. He's being held at the Seminole County Jail on a no-bond status.
