PALM BAY, Fla. — Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man at a Palm Bay park last month, according to police.
The Palm Bay Police Department announced Thursday that 18-year-old Christopher Hriciso and 17-year-old Caleb Davis have been charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm. Davis will be charged as an adult, police said.
The arrests stem from an Aug. 26 shooting at Patrick Woodard Memorial Park, where officers found Isaac Cohen, 22, fatally shot.
Investigators said evidence recovered from the victim’s vehicle and digital forensic analysis revealed the shooting was connected to an apparent drug transaction.
Over the past week, detectives executed multiple search warrants, reviewed surveillance video and forensic data, and conducted numerous interviews, ultimately identifying Hriciso and Davis as suspects, according to police.
“This was a senseless loss of life, and our thoughts remain with the victim’s family as they go through this unexpected and unimaginable time,” Palm Bay Police Chief Jeff Spears said in a statement. “I am incredibly proud of our team as they worked tirelessly around the clock to find answers and seek justice.”
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Palm Bay Police Department or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
