MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A recent trip to Miami Beach became a dream come true for one special group.

A special camp made it possible for 11 children on ventilators to have some fun in the sun.
Normally a trip to the beach would be nearly impossible because of medical limitations.

However, with the help of Miami Beach firefighters, families from as far as Buffalo, New York were able to dip their toes in the water.
“They don’t feel like they have limitations. And that reminds us that limitations are all in your head. It’s not what you have,” said Dr. Maria Fanco with the Ventilation Assisted Children’s Center.

The camp also gives the children the opportunity to do things like sailing and bowling.
