COCOA, Fla. — Two children and an adult man were found dead inside a Cocoa home Wednesday, according to police.

Cocoa police said patrol officers responded to the home at 100 Sorrento Drive shortly after noon.

Preliminary findings indicate the deaths may have resulted from a murder-suicide, police said. Investigators believe the incident was isolated and said there is no active threat to the public.

Neighbors told Channel 9 the incident apparently happened overnight. One neighbor said he heard what sounded like gunshots around midnight.

Surveillance video obtained by Channel 9 from a home across the street appears to show a man leaving the residence around that time, walking in circles through the yard and then going back inside.

Police have not identified the man seen in the video or confirmed when or how the three people died.

Neighbors said they knew the children who lived at the home.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses while crime scene technicians process the residence and collect evidence.

Police have not released the victims’ identities or provided details about their relationships.

Channel 9 has a crew at the scene and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
