PASADENA, Calif. — The Florida State Seminoles are in southern California right now, getting set for the BCS Championship Game, and their fans will be there in force as well.
Monday night's game is a sellout, and that means finding a ticket could be costly.
Channel 9 anchor Greg Warmoth is in Pasadena and said fans who are attending Wednesday's Rose Bowl, in the same stadium where the championship game will be held, are passionate when it comes to keeping their tickets -- at any cost.
More than 100,000 people filled the stadium Wednesday for the game between Michigan State and Stanford.
Warmoth checked with several fans who were tailgating before the game to see what the going price would be for a ticket to Wednesday's game.
He said he found that no matter who he asked, no matter which team they were rooting for, they had one thing in common: they were there to watch the game in person; they weren't interested in watching from home on TV.
An experienced ticket scalper told Warmoth that finding a ticket for even 50 times face value was impossible.
Warmoth did find a number of fans at the Rose Bowl Game who also had tickets for the championship game. He said none were interested in parting with their tickets.
