ORLANDO, Fla. — A weekly fun run turned into a fundraising event for Pulse survivors and victims’ families.
More than 1,000 people showed up for the Track Shack run Wednesday.
Runners hit the pavement near the Track Shack store on North Mills Avenue.
The store organized the free event, and sold shirts to benefit the OneOrlando Fund.
“All these victims and their families and survivors of this senseless tragedy, we just thought we need to come together, the runners and the walkers,” said the owner, Betsy Hughes.
The run raised at least $35,000 for the fund.
