ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 32-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Orange County Monday night, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators identified the victim as Trevon Trenton Thomas.
Deputies responded around 7:45 p.m. to the 5600 block of Westbury Drive, where they found Thomas suffering from a gunshot wound.
Thomas was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Neighbor heard gunfire, car speeding away
A neighbor told Channel 9 he heard gunshots followed by a car speeding away.
“The first thing that comes to your mind is whether it’s real gunshots, fireworks and if it is, like, which direction they’re coming from, so it’s really scary. Plus, I got family home,” Carlos Molina said.
Channel 9 crews at the scene Monday night saw a heavy law enforcement presence, evidence markers in the street and several crime scene unit vans.
The sheriff’s office has not released information about what led to the shooting.
Investigators also have not said whether a suspect has been identified or whether any arrests have been made.
The investigation remains ongoing.
