SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Evidence that troopers say proves that an Uber driver caused a crash that killed his passenger has been obtained by Eyewitness News.

Surveillance video from two pharmacies at the intersection of State Road 434 and Ronal Reagan Boulevard did not catch the December accident between Robert Williams, an Uber driver, and Scott Sullivan, a Seminole County deputy, but troopers said they found a clue in one of the videos that indicates who is to blame.

The video from a Walgreens showed that indicator lights were lit up blue at the moment of impact, which troopers said means that Williams, 72, should have stopped at the red light.

The crash claimed the life of Corey Allicock, 28, who was on his way home from a holiday party. Troopers said Allicock was not wearing a seat belt.

"It was rough, heartbreaking. I can't even talk about it," Cameron Parker, the victim's friend, said.

Troopers said video from inside the Walgreens showed that Ronald Reagan Boulevard had a red light for at least 30 seconds before the crash.

"No amount of answers are going to make this make sense. He was 28 years old, super young (and) in the prime of his life. He was the light of everything," Justina Parker, a friend of the victim, said.

Troopers said Sullivan was driving 20 miles over the speed limit on the way to a domestic disturbance call, but didn't have his lights or sirens activated. Sullivan was also not wearing a seat belt, but has since made a full recovery, according to authorities.

Allicock's family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the sheriff's office and Williams. The victim's friends and family said it won't ease their loss.

A crash review committee will determine if Sullivan committed any policy violations by speeding and not wearing his seat belt.

Williams had provided more than 800 rides as an Uber driver and received an average rating of 4.8 out of 5. An Uber spokesperson said he is no longer a driver with the company.

Uber said in a statement:

"Our thoughts are with all those involved in this tragic accident, and with their families coping in the aftermath."
